The Aldgate Partnership

About The Partnership

The Vision

Aldgate is undergoing enormous transformation, with an ambitious development pipeline and large scale infrastructure projects already well underway. Recognised by developers as an area of growth and opportunity, the aim is to position Aldgate as a new and vibrant district, capitalising on it’s diversity and heritage driving economic benefit and regeneration to the whole community.

The Aldgate Partnership (TAP) was formed in 2014 to help drive a powerful agenda for change. Membership of the group currently includes landowners, commercial occupiers, and developers. TAP works in partnership with its members to develop Aldgate as a ‘One location’, delivering a range of interventions to support community development and develop a premier business hub with high quality public realm and environment that produces a safe, convenient and inspiring destination for employees, residents and visitors alike.

“The Aldgate Partnership brings a new focus and collaboration to what is one of most important opportunity districts in Central London.  Aldgate is rapidly joining Shoreditch and Old Street as one of the most dynamic and inspirational urban districts in Europe. Building on the history and character of the area, it’s connectivity and reversing years of decline, a thriving new community is now emerging”.

Ian Mulcahey, Principal, Managing Director of Gensler. Chair of the Aldgate Partnership
