About this deal
The "angular diameter" of an object is defined as the angle an object makes (subtends) as seen by an observer.
Also commonly referred to as "power", magnification is a measure of how much closer an object appears when viewed through the instrument.
I didn't notice any difference in focus tension or smoothness on cold days, which is good, because this was a very good year for Crossbills and Redpolls (but still no Snowy Owl). Binoculars can be broken down by the objective lens size (which is usually listed as second in model numbers) to simplify. It's shorter than other top-end 8x56 models and it's got awesome glass, just I don't like the rangefinder part!
I have good quality 70mm and 80mm finders but I have found the 50mm to be more effective, it offers a much wider field of view along with sufficient aperture for a finder. I flip and flop in my sensitivity to color fringing, but hate eye relief problems, and would take that comment seriously. We offer several leading brands of binoculars, including Barska, Bushnell, Celestron, Leica, Meade, Nikon, Orion, Pentax, and Steiner. These are the West German version and not being the "B" version, they have the hard eyecups, not the rubber eyecups.
